Cork Loses Filip Grzyb, Will Miss Season

The season is finished for Filip Grzyb of the Cork Whistlers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Whistlers right fielder suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Ayr Claymores. Team doctors said it would take at least 10 months to heal.
