Aurora Borealis Need Extra Frames to Get Past Missions
|
Gothenburg and Milan played a hard-fought contest.
The Gothenburg Aurora Borealis faced a tough opponent in Milan pitcher Sam Taylor, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Stadio Prada by a final score of 3-1. Taylor went 8.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Rónan McLoughlin, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits.
Rikard Bondo, the 34-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bondo contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the tenth inning to put Gothenburg up, 2-1.
"Winning never gets dull," said Bondo.
The defeat makes Milan 1-1.
