Perrin Bangs 3 HR Against Balbriggan Tuesday, May 1st, 2040 Saint-Étienne Alouettes left fielder Benoît Perrin slugged three home runs against the Balbriggan Firefighters at Alouettes Field, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The Firefighters spoiled his day by defeating the Alouettes, 10-8. "The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game Benoît had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Saint-Étienne manager . "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing Benoît, he would have preferred a win." For the game, Perrin was 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Perrin said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too." Benoît Perrin hit a two-run home run off Ciro Sordelli in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jessy Mercier in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Radoje Zecevic in the 9th. |
