The Berlin Brewers trumped the Glasgow Pipers, 6-5, at Siemens FIeld. Berlin right fielder Torsten Wallen was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Stig Barström picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Mehmet Arnold took the loss. The win gives Berlin a record of 9-7.

Sebastian Schaefer chipped in for Berlin, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4.
