Elephants Stun Tritons, 2-0

Fans of the Eindhoven Elephants who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Eindhoven win over the visiting Amsterdam Tritons, 2-0. James Giles started for the home team against Veit Pachmann. Veit Pachmann earned accolades for his performance. The save went to Pavle Mihailovic, his 1st this season.
Mark Thomson chipped in for Eindhoven with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Eindhoven manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
