Mönchengladbach Huskies starter Bobby Barron was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Dnipro Blue Falcons, 2-0. Getting the save was Verner Burmeister, his 3rd. The victory makes Mönchengladbach 5-8.
Mönchengladbach used the bat of Frédéric Fournier to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Huskies ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Barron called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
