Big Bat Pays Off, Fortin Player of the Week

22-year-old Jean-Marie Fortin made a few Malmö headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and EBF Development League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 4 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .333 average. Fortin collected 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
