Besnard Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games

The Tromsø Moose fell to the Strasbourg Bayonet in Norsk Hydro Stadium today, even as 24-year-old center fielder Nadir Besnard upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Besnard finished with 1 hit in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Moose from dropping the 9-5 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Besnard.
Nadir Besnard struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
To date Besnard has chalked up a .365 average with 1 home run, driven in 9 runs and scored 17 times.
