Star of the Week Named in EDL

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the EBF Development League, but last week Vesa Meronen of the Bilbao Perros Calientes reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Meronen rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (8-for-16), 4 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award.
For the season Meronen has hit .333 with 6 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 16 games and scored 10 times.
