Led by Ramão Chquere, the Amsterdam Tritons defeated the Rotterdam Trojans, 5-3. Chquere went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Tritons. Gian-Carlo Pininferino, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-2. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Chquere contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Amsterdam in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Chquere took a fastball from Väinö Rahkamo and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Tritons to leap in front, 4-3.
