The Eindhoven Elephants picked up a win at Stadion Elephants, knocking off the Utrecht Volts, 3-2. On the mound for Eindhoven was right-hander Vilmos Dodos, who played a pivotal role in the win. Eindhoven reliever Pavle Mihailovic picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rocky Reicher was saddled with the loss. The win gives Eindhoven a record of 10-9.
With runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the ninth, Daniel Winkler delivered the knockout blow when he hit a sacrifice fly to win it for Eindhoven. In the contest, Winkler drew 1 walk.
"We had a chance to win," said Utrecht manager , "but we didn't get it done."
