Almere Beats Alkmaar, 3-1

The Almere Wild Horses picked up a win at Stadion Alkmaar, knocking off the Alkmaar Spurs, 3-1. Starting pitcher Lewis Millar was a big reason why. Millar, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Bernard Black earned save number 2 this season.
Julio Chavez had a productive trip to the plate with no one out in the top of the first inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double, helping Almere to the win.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Chavez.
Almere goes to 5-6.
