Wolf Pack Dealt 6-4 Loss by Kiev
|
The Kiev Comets topped the Parma Wolf Pack, 6-4, with left fielder Nathan MacPherson playing a big role. MacPherson was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Comets in the win. The win belongs to Ryan Gilchrist in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Adalgiso Brenner took the loss for Parma. Edwyn Eisen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
MacPherson had a timely hit for Kiev in the bottom of the seventh. With Parma trailing 4-2, he turned a 2-1 curveball into a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 6-4, Kiev.
"I just tried to make good contact," said MacPherson.
The Wolf Pack fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2040.
