Mavericks Lose, 5-3, at Fighters Stadium

Conditions were not ideal but Bergen and Leipzig were able to put their game in the books.
The Leipzig Mavericks got a superb performance from pitcher Ostoja Simovic, but the Bergen Fighters still won the game, 5-3. Simovic threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Karl Schou got the save, the 1st for him this season.
One consequential at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, the batter, Ludovico Bendinelli, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 4-3, Bergen, and helped them go on to win.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Bergen manager .
The Fighters, now 4-2, have been playing some good baseball.
