Vigo Gets 8-6 Win Against Huskies
|
Rémi Charron helped his team muscle past the Mönchengladbach Huskies, 8-6. In the game, the Vigo catcher went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Vigo reliever Oscar Garcia picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Dempsey O'Keeffe was tagged with the loss. Dylan Fisher earned the save for Vigo, his 3rd of the year.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Charron hit a bases-clearing double. It propelled the Golden Knights into the lead, 5-2.
"We played hard and won," said Charron. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The Golden Knights, now 7-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
