Norrköping catcher Seppo Ruutu picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Porto Vandals, 5-4. Norrköping reliever Ulrik Svendsen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bosko Obrenovic absorbed the loss. Pavel Schwarz picked up the save, his 1st.
Ruutu made an early impact for Norrköping when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the first, put the Frozen Ropes on top, 4-2.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Ruutu.
The loss puts Porto at 2-1.
