Rogues Wrest Win from Bears, 2-1
|
The Lausanne Rogues earned a win at Roche Stadium, stopping the Bruges Bears, 2-1. Starting pitcher Lennart Storegaard played a big role in his team's success. Lausanne reliever Ryan Kerr picked up the win, while Jim Unknown took the loss for Bruges. The Bears, now 4-13, continue their poor start.
The knockout blow came in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when catcher Neil Mackay stepped to the plate with a runner on 2nd and hit a run-scoring double, to win the ballgame.
"We did just enough to win," Storegaard said.
